About Us- Founders & Owners
Kristi & Ricky started Chickies Coffee in 2022 using Ricky’s grandfather’s old auto upholstery shop truck.
Together they brought that little old shop truck back to life with the goal to serve coffee with a smile 🙂
Kristi has years of experience working with coffee. In her time spent at the Roastery of Cave Creek, she was their ‘Coffee Cordinator’ where she touched almost every aspect of coffee. She really enjoys the hostitality aspect of the chickie truck and bringing a smile to people faces.
Ricky has a background in building, design, and sustainability. He graduated ASU with a degree in Sustainability and works in construction as a General contractor in addition to helping out on the chickie truck
They both enjoy gardening, backpacking, and being in nature in their spare time 🙂
About The Truck
Kristi & Ricky refurbished his grandfathers 1971 Datsun 521 pickup and gave it a new purpose in life as a coffee truck!
Together they built everything you see on the truck from the ground up.
From crafting the artisan butcher block countertops, to running all the plumbing & electrical, this coffee truck was a labor of love.
The Datsun is now fully operational, and is ready to be the next big hit at your special event!

Kristi & Ricky created an additonal coffee catering concept late in 2024; the chickie cart!
This petite cart is perfect for any small gathering, indoor or out!
We hope you enjoy the chickie cart as much as we enjoyed building it
Since the first cart, Kristi & Ricky have expanded to another cart, brining the total to 2 carts and the chickie truck. Perfect for any sized event!
About Our Coffee
Chickies Coffee uses only the finest ingredients when brewing you your cup of joe’.
We use Roastery of Cave Creek Coffee, which is organic, and ethically sourced.
All of our products are cleanly sourced and/or organic/local, and are packaging is compostable 🙂
